Values pages list virtues. This one lists rules, each with the failure that produced it, because a rule without its origin is a slogan.
Every figure carries its proof
From: invented numbers in the repository — a "9.8/10", "15,195 tests", "59,042 TPS", a $500,000 rewards programme that did not exist.
Rule: a figure enters a canonical document only with the code invariant that guarantees it or the command that produces it. Enforced by TOKENOMICS.json with a CI gate and a chain-spec test.
Nothing is announced before it exists
From: a grants programme, a hackathon and an exchange-integration guide that pointed at a domain never registered; a website listing security audits by firms that never performed them. Rule: programmes, partnerships, listings and audits are described after they are real. Documents that describe future things say so in the first line.
Ask what would make this check fail
From: a validator audit script that returned three fictional validators with exit code 0 against a refused connection; post_upgrade hooks asserting facts their migrations did not control.
Rule: for every verification, ask what would have to be true for it to be false. If the answer is nothing, it is decoration. Rewrite it.
Run the chain, not just the tests
From: an authority-set bug the full test suite passed and try-runtime caught by producing blocks; a testnet that reached 102,912 blocks without a single signed transaction because no client encoded the envelope, while every unit test passed.
Rule: a feature is done when it has executed a real transaction on the live chain. try-runtime before every migration. Verification headers on every guide stating when it was last run against a node.
Wire it or retire it
From: dispatchables that existed, compiled and did nothing; a DEX with no treasury account that could not swap. Rule (runtime 217): every promise in the runtime either has a real circuit with a mutation-tested path or is removed with a migration. "Pending decision" is never shown as green.
Correct in place, with the error visible
From: every case above. Rule: a corrected document keeps a block at the top saying what was wrong, when it was found and how. Readers can see not only the current state but how much to trust it.
Prefer the stated flaw to the hidden one
The canonical tokenomics has a section titled what this document does NOT claim. The decentralization report opens with not suitable for mainnet. The validator guide lists three traps it used to lead operators into. This is not modesty; it is the only way a reader can calibrate.
Nobody is earlier or cheaper
The sale is one public round at one price. The 85 % the project holds at genesis is stated as high and comparable to Polkadot's and Cosmos's launches, rather than disguised.
Real before global
The commerce apps run in Spain, in production, in fiat. The chain runs on two validators in one city. Both facts are on the site. The ambition is large; the claims are the size of what exists.
