OmiloOS Privacy Policy
OmiloOS (com.empoorio.omiloos) is the ecosystem's solar telemetry and mesh-network app: it reads data from energy equipment and publishes it to the chain, which is what makes it possible to pay for what each device contributes.
1. Controller and scope
The data controller is Empoorio (https://empoorio.org). This policy covers the OmiloOS Android app published on Google Play as com.empoorio.omiloos. It does not cover the other apps in the ecosystem, each of which has its own. For any privacy matter: legal@empoorio.org.
2. You do not need an account
No registration: the app uses the EmpoorioChain account it creates on the phone, which is what gets paid for what your equipment produces.
3. Where your data is stored
Equipment readings — output, status, device identifier — are published to EmpoorioChain, which is public and permanent. There is no server of ours storing your readings.
4. Bluetooth and location
The app connects over Bluetooth to inverters and mesh beacons. Android requires the location permission in order to scan for Bluetooth devices: that is the only reason the app asks for it. It does not record where you are and does not track you.
5. What this app does NOT do
• It does not record your position or your route. • No third-party analytics. • It does not ask for camera, microphone or contacts. • It does not sell or share data.
6. Your rights
Uninstalling the app deletes the account from the phone. Readings already published on the chain cannot be deleted. Questions: legal@empoorio.org.
