Kinetoor
Our own rendering engine: it parses the HTML, resolves the styles and draws the page on the GPU.
From the Greek κινητήρ · kinētḗr, «el que mueve», «la fuerza motriz».
What it is
Kinetoor is the engine that moves Aephoron. It is a Servo fork written in Rust, and it exists to answer an uncomfortable question: why depend on a rendering engine built by the company that controls most of digital advertising.
It does what an engine does: parses the document, resolves the CSS, runs the JavaScript with SpiderMonkey and paints with WebRender on the GPU. Over 520,000 lines of Rust and 36 components.
On 8 September 2026 it rendered a real web page on Android, which is the proof that matters: not a laboratory demo, but the engine drawing the actual web on a phone.

What it does not do yet
This section is here on purpose. A product page that does not say what is missing is a brochure.
- It is not a standalone product: it is used inside Aephoron.
- Web compatibility is not that of a mature engine, and the discrepancies are measured one by one.
- It has no site of its own: it lives at aephoron.com.
