The EmpoorioChain Testnet Hackathon: Designed, Not Yet Announced
A 48-hour virtual hackathon with three tracks — native DeFi, AI and zkML, identity and privacy — judged on native pallet use, with prizes in testnet DMS only. It opens when its faucet, explorer and templates exist.
Tracks
Virtual, continuous
Real money in prizes — testnet DMS only
Previous Hackathons
What the first will be
Three tracks: native DeFi (DEX, intents, MEV protection, lending); AI and zkML (AiloOS engine, Groth16-verified inference); identity and privacy (did:emp credentials, guardians, ML-DSA signatures).
None yet
EmpoorioChain has not held a hackathon. The first is designed; its prerequisites — a public faucet, a stable explorer, verified templates — are not yet deployed.
Judging
Innovation 30 %, native pallet use 25 %, code quality 20 %, documentation 15 %, a working demo with verifiable testnet transactions 10 %. Jury of at least three.
Prizes
50,000 / 25,000 / 10,000 testnet DMS per track; 15,000 for best developer experience; 10,000 for best documentation. No financial commitment; future considerations subject to governance once a mainnet exists.
Ideas
A liquidity aggregator; a limit-order system on intents; an MEV dashboard; Groth16-verified inference; a node reputation system; credentials with on-chain revocation; a guardian-recoverable wallet; a post-quantum signature demo.
Infrastructure
Two public RPC nodes (run your own for anything heavy), templates for React, TypeScript and Rust, a 24/7 support channel for the 48 hours, and the incident playbook if a node fails.
The grants programme after
Ten pilot slots across DeFi, NFT/gaming, AI, tooling and identity; each project commits to 100 verifiable transactions, open source, a demo and a README.
Why it has not opened
Its documents pointed at a domain that was never registered. Rule: deploy what the programme promises, then announce.
How to prepare
Build on the public testnet now — the pallets are live. File what breaks as an issue; a reproducible finding is scored under documentation.
Overview
EmpoorioChain's hackathon is a 48-hour online event to generate real activity on the testnet, test the developer experience of the SDKs and templates, and find teams for the grants programme. It is not a fundraising contest and no venture investors are involved.
