EmpoorioChain is a Layer 1 blockchain built with Substrate (Polkadot-SDK) in Rust. It runs as a public testnet with two validators, produces a block every 6 seconds with Aura and finalizes with GRANDPA (~17 s p50 measured in May 2026), and puts the ecosystem's functionality — assets, escrow, compliance, identity, NFTs, DeFi, AI rewards — into 140 runtime pallets rather than into per-application contracts. There is no mainnet; the gate to one is written down in MAINNET_GATE.md.

At its core, EmpoorioChain is one runtime, upgraded in place: from genesis on 31 August 2026 the network went from runtime 208 to 220 in two weeks without a restart. Every figure in this note comes from the network registry (RED.json) or a published benchmark.

Key Features of EmpoorioChain

  • Runtime pallets: 140 modules in one WASM runtime — escrow, logistics, compliance, sanctions, identity (did:empoorio), NFTs, a DEX, lending, staking, governance, storage market, AI reward pool. Applications call the chain; they do not deploy contracts for these.

  • Measured, not projected: 6-second blocks; inclusion p50 3.5 s; GRANDPA finality p50 17 s; 700 of 700 transactions finalized in the mixed-load benchmark. Throughput on production-class hardware has not been measured and is not published.

  • Frontier EVM: Solidity contracts run on chain id 2026 (0x7ea), paying gas at 1 gwei since runtime 220; a precompile exposes DMS as an ERC-20. The same seed yields an sr25519 account and an H160.

  • Post-quantum accounts, classical consensus: ML-DSA (FIPS 204) is verified inside the runtime and an account may seal itself against classical signatures. Aura and GRANDPA still sign with sr25519/ed25519, so the chain itself is not post-quantum.

  • Honest limits: two validators in one data centre (AS8560, Logroño) — fault tolerance is zero; no external audit; no bridge; energy unmeasured. Each is stated where it applies.

The EmpoorioChain Ecosystem

  • Dracma (DMS): the native balance, 18 decimals; fees, staking, governance deposits. 1,000M at genesis, 3.5B cap, gap-decay emission (75 % to stakers, 25 % to the AI pool).
  • Apps in production: Eats, Manager, Riders, Square Sellers, Warehouse and GnoosiS on Google Play (Spain), settling in fiat; Warehouse already mints NFT product passports on chain.
  • Eoonia Wallet: Android and iOS, EmpoorioChain and Ethereum as first-class networks, 100/100 integration tests against runtime 220.
  • AiloOS: federated AI with a live API, 421 datasets and on-device training verified on a physical phone; the reward pool has not yet paid a device.
